the correct way to make a bed

Now i have been making my own bed for many a year now and over that time many people have told and taught me different ways in which to make a bed. Now i know what you might be saying "making a bed is easy there's nothing to it" but think back to the first time you ever made your bed, by yourself, more than likely it would have been a single bed, if was wasn't and it was a double/queen/king bed then your lucky for having such a large bed as a child but i feel unlucky for you as making a single as a child is hard enough but a double most have been a nightmare. Anyway think back, how long did it take you, have much of a mission did it seem just to make your bed. Now i should point out that when i say "Make" i mean change sheets, flip mattress, clean and make sheets and pillows look nice and tidy......oh yeah the whole works!

So How to make the perfect the bed.

1. Strip bed: Strip all sheets including pillow cases, shake to vent any objects that be caught inside. Place into dirty washing basket/bin/area or as i used to do ball it all up and launch it down the stairs, but please be warned make sure your mothers favourite vase is not at the bottom of the stairs, it doesn't go down to well when it brakes.

2. Flip mattress and spray: i flip my mattress every other time i make my bed, it just keeps things fresh. Once the mattress is flipped i air out the pillows and duvet and then spray the mattress, pillows and duvet with febreze. This makes everything smell nice.

3. New sheets: Ithen get the new sheets from the draw at break up the sheets into three layers. layer one, bottom sheet. layer two, pillows. layer three, duvet. The bottom sheet must go on tight, all corners must be fitted exactly on each corner of the mattress and the all edges tightly tucked underneath the mattress. Now i like to turn the pillow cases inside out and then grab the corners from inside the case then take hold of the corners of the pillow and turn the case the right way, i find this way much easier than stuffing the pillow into the case and causing it to bunch up. I do the same with the duvet cover, turning it inside out, getting to the corners, grabbing the corners of the duvet and turning it back.

4. Placement: I place the pillows symmetrically upon the bed first make sure that the colours on each side of the pillow case are showing up. The duvet is then placed on the bed with the top part covering half of the pillows, some people like to tuck the duvet under the mattress i like to just lay it firmly on top.

5. Spray: The final section is to spray the bed with febreze:

This in my opinion is the best way to make the perfect bed.
